Timber Policy

The Egyptian American for veneer & Lumber Co. , in recognition of our responsibility to the environment, our customers and suppliers, bases our commercial activities on legal and well-managed forests.
As such we are committed to procuring forest products from independently verified sources.

Olympic Varnish recognises that the independent, third party certification of forests and the supply chain is the optimal way of gaining assurances that the timber we trade originates from legal and well-managed forests.

Curly is the extremely decorative, wavy pattern; this burl texture is only found in very small numbers of maple logs.

Color:

Initially a soft pink, when exposed to light the wood takes on a warm tone. Fine pores, very uniform and typically exhibiting a semi gloss.

Color:

The heartwood is yellow-brown to chocolate brown, depending on the type of wood, streaked with lighter, more yellowish veins.
